Ok, during my net-surfing today I found this HILARIOUS piece on the history of the Grammys. I copy here the unforgettable ones (from people.com): Milli Vanilli's Rob Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan won the best new artist Grammy for their mulitplatinum debut, All or Nothing, and "performed" their hit "Girl You Know It's True" at the 1990 ceremony – only to be exposed eight months later for lip-syncing everything! And that Grammy? Withdrawn. - Now, already the name is ridicolous, then their looks, come on they should have withdrawn the award only for that!
Apparently in 1989 instead of much-wanted Metallica the hard rock/metal category was won by flute prog-rockers Jethro Tull, that was booed from the audience during his acceptance speech. Look at him. I'm not surpirsed.
I know, it must have been difficult to decide what to wear (and what color dye your hair!) in 1984...and Cindy Lauper did her best.....shame she's about to sneeze all over Hulk Hogan (but why was he carrying her??)
But Sly wasn't it the nickname of Silvester Stallone? I know nothing about music!! Sly and the Family Stone...very nice costume....
